Minutes of the Meeting between ZO UZO IKEA Stores ČR and IKEA Česká republika, s.r.o. 7.3. 2025
Meeting Date: March 7, 2025
Meeting Time: 10:00–12:00
Meeting Venue: IKEA Černý Most
Participants:
On behalf of the Trade Union Organization ZO UZO IKEA stores ČR – Monika Bystroňová, David Polák
On behalf of IKEA Česká republika, s.r.o. – Eva Hrachová, Daniela Kučová
Agenda Items:
- Sharing information about OSH audits
- - Information about planned audits or inspections in the area of fire protection/occupational safety and health (PO/OSH) will be shared with the trade union organization electronically via email sent to both the chairperson and vice-chairperson of the trade union organization at least 14 days in advance. In case of shorter notice (e.g. when the employer is informed of the audit or inspection at short notice), the employer commits to sharing the information with the trade union organization without delay.
- The trade union organization will confirm whether and who will participate in the audit on its behalf.
- The results of the audits will subsequently be shared with the trade union organization. - How to handle situations where an employee is assigned to different work (e.g. picking) than specified in their employment contract
- Based on competency profiles and employment contracts, selected positions include goods handling as part of their job description, which specifically allows for picking.
However, such tasks should not be carried out continuously for more than 21 days in a calendar year.
- Therefore, it is necessary to maintain proper and accurate records of such activities in the attendance system, even in the case of ad-hoc tasks – this will be emphasized by IKEA Česká republika, s.r.o. to individual branches.
- If a longer-term assignment to different work is needed, a discussion with the trade union organization will take place. - Basis for the amount allocated per person for teambuilding
- The amount was set a long time ago, and it is no longer known what it was based on.
So far, the priority has been updating and creating other/new employee benefits (e.g. additional days off), but both parties agreed that the current amount may no longer be sufficient for certain teambuilding activities.
- An adjustment of the amount is planned for the future.
- Regarding additional days off, the trade union organization shared employees' feedback regarding unclear rules for planning this benefit. This topic will be discussed at the next meeting, and the rules will be clarified and standardized. IKEA Česká republika, s.r.o. considers this feedback valid, though the original intent was to recognize employee seniority. - Time allocation for trade union activities
- Both parties presented their proposals regarding time allocation for trade union activities.
- An agreement has not yet been reached and discussions will continue.
It was confirmed that participation in meetings with representatives of IKEA Česká republika, s.r.o. will be included in the agreed monthly time allocation. Participation in PO/OSH audits will be considered as activities beyond this allocation and will be approved as needed.
- IKEA Česká republika, s.r.o. will clarify via email (to the chairperson and vice-chairperson) the process for recording trade union activities in the attendance system.
Both parties agree that trade union activities performed under the time allocation should not negatively affect the regular job duties of the union members.
